| Including your children in your wedding ceremony… | 04.02.10 |
Q
I would like to have a special part of my ceremony to include my 12-year-old son and my “new” daughters- ages ranging from (21-32). Any ideas? This is of course both of our second marriages.

A
I would absolutely include your children as much as possible. Your son could either “give you away” or he could be your ring bearer. Your new daughters could be your bridesmaids. All of them could be part of a special family ceremony joining all of you together. In this type of ceremony each of them would get a ring, too. They could give a reading during the ceremony or they could give a toast at the reception. Let them help cut the cake. In fact, they could help pick out the cake and each one have their own layer! Be creative and find as many ways to make them feel a big part of this very special time.
Good Luck
